About the Event

- Join us for a transformative evening of sitar music and sound alchemy. Experience deep healing and joy through the musical talent of the youngest disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma.

- Traditional music of India is considered to be a science of awareness and a vehicle to still the mind. The system of using sound vibrations to quiet the busy mind is called Nada (sound, tones or vibration) Yoga (union). It is a spiritual technique to turn your perception inwards to connect to your inner spirit. The goal is to use your “ear of the heart” to hear the sounds of your anahata nada, your own inner sound that is inaccessible to any other being.

- The human body is like a musical instrument, expressing countless frequencies in a constantly changing spectrum of life. It responds to sounds, thoughts, and speech through changes in heart beat, breathing, and circulation of energy.

Music can literally heal the heart.
